Why I built my own website for dog exercise areas

As a passionate dog lover, you know how it goes: you want to get out and about with your four-legged friend, but you're looking for a place where he or she can really run and play off-leash. You search the internet, scroll through vague lists, miss up-to-date info, or end up on sites that don't work well on your smartphone.

That's why I decided to take matters into my own hands and build a platform myself. No clunky or slow web pages, but a fast, clear website that does exactly what you expect: quickly find the nearest dog exercise area.

How it started

The idea came up during a walk. My dog was eager to run free again, and I noticed that I couldn't find a convenient overview of safe and fenced areas nearby that also worked smoothly on mobile. I wanted to create a place where you can see at a glance where your dog is welcome and what the area looks like.

Accessible to everyone

Because we live in a beautiful region that also attracts many tourists and non-native speakers, I have designed the website so that the information is accessible to everyone. Whether you speak Dutch, English, French, or German: you will always find the right information to go out with your dog.

What the future holds

This is just the beginning. The foundation is set, and the website is gradually filling up with the best play areas. In future updates, I want to focus on handy extras like user reviews, photos of the areas, and a convenient map integration.
